Born from passion, built for authors
I started Themuseva because I saw so many talented indie dark romance and fantasy authors pouring everything into their stories — but drowning in the business side. They were DIY-ing covers that didn't match their vision, scrambling through launches alone, and burning out on marketing instead of writing. I knew I could help because I don't just understand the work — I understand the world. I'm in the genre. I know the tropes, the aesthetic, the readers, and what makes a dark romance cover stop a scroll or a fantasy launch actually land.
More than a VA, a genre insider
What makes me passionate is seeing an author go from overwhelmed and invisible to confident and thriving — with a brand that finally looks and feels like the stories she's telling. This isn't a niche I picked from a business plan. It's a community I love being part of. Every cover I design, every launch I coordinate, every piece of content I create comes from genuinely caring about these books and the people who write them. Most VAs are generalists — they'll help with your calendar and your inbox, but they don't know the difference between a why-choose and a bully romance, and they definitely can't design a cover that sells in your subgenre.

Most designers make beautiful art but have no idea how to run a launch. Most launch managers don't touch content creation. I do all of it — and I do it as someone who lives in dark romance and fantasy every single day. The authors I love working with the most are the ones who are all-in on their stories but running on fumes trying to do everything else. They're indie dark romance and fantasy authors — usually with at least a book or two out — who know their writing is strong but feel like the business side is holding them back.
